44 Blues 04:24
I wore my 44 so long, I’ve made my shoulder sore. Well, I’m wondring everybody, where’d my baby go. Well, I’m so mad this morning, I don’t know where I go. Well, I’m lookin for me some money, pawned my soul to have some gold.

Get out of my sight And don’t come back anymore All these tears that you cry never fix up my heart you tore Get out of my sight Only now I could see I look at everyone around and think Who will the next fool be
3.
When I met you last night You treated my heart so mean(2X) I thought I’d done all for you, And was the best one you’ve ever seen I can’t believe you have gone Be sure this will be the last time (2X) This time you broke my heart. I swear now it’s a real goodbye In my dreams you try to talk to me I confess I try it too I’m not happy wakin’ alone But I’m better without you

Nother Spoon 05:15
The life is so hard, baby And you wanna have a baby again! You know if we’ve got a son now We’ll never have chance to get the train Now you tell me, baby That a little boy child is coming soon You know the money I get It’s not enough to feel another spoon
5.
I see your face Staring up at me when I close my eyes You had this look when I was leaving, it seemed like you… were gonna die You weren’t sad You weren’t mad There was no surprise stamped in your face You weren’t scared There was no surprise stamped in your face You had this look when I was leaving, it seemed like you… were gonna die I see your face Like you couldn’t believe It was ending that way You had this look when I was leaving, it seemed like you… were gonna die

about

“Lone Wolf” is the debut solo EP of the Brazilian blues musician Roberto Lessa where he brings together all of his blues influences accumulated in years of playing in bands, researching and working on radio production. The record has six songs, five of them composed by Roberto Lessa that plays the guitar and sings. The EP it’s open by a version of the classic "44 Blues" in which Roberto Lessa joined two musical cultures, the Mississippi's "fife and drum" and the sound of folk brazilian groups called “Cabaçal bands”. The fife was played by the Brazilian maestro Ferreira Jr. The second song is a Chicago style shuffle "Get Out Of My Sight", song already praised by Bruce Iglauer, boss of the Alligator Records. "Another Spoon" comes next showing all the influence that Roberto has from one of his blues heroes: Lightnin 'Hopkins. Another influence that came up was Lonnie Johnson, who inspired Roberto in the tune "Better Without You". In the fifth track, Roberto puts some heavy elements in a blues-rock titled "I See Your Face" that counts on the participation of Gabriel Yang, R.L.’s companion in the trio Gumbo Blues. After so much walking, the EP is closed in a melancholy mood in the sea of the instrumental "Your Name In The Sand", which also had the participation of Gabriel Yang. Alongside Marcelo Holanda on the drums, Victor Fontenele on the bass, what Roberto Lessa sought to show in “Lone Wolf” was the viscerality and simplicity so real and inseparable from the blues. Roberto also sought to recapture the classic sonority of the Chicago Blues era of the 1950s. "Lone Wolf" is an album recorded with a lot of heart on a Sunday, with all the band playing live, to touch whoever hears it with real feelings.
